A Tournament is a scheduled elimination PvP bracket fought at an Arena Anchor the server
has placed. Admins schedule them; you just need to sign up in time. Each event runs in one of
three formats, picked when it is scheduled: classic solo 1v1, duo 2v2, or full
nation squads.
Nobody dies. A blow that would kill instead benches you at the arena edge — healed to full,
untouchable, out of that match. Your side fights on until one team has no one left standing; then
everyone on both sides is healed and teleported back to wherever they were before the match.
When a tournament is announced, sign up with:
/ettournament join
or right-click the Arena Anchor. /ettournament leave takes you back out before the bracket is
seeded, and /ettournament status shows the phase, format, your team and your next opponent.
Announcements arrive at scheduling, ten minutes out, one minute out and at the start. If fewer than
two players (or fewer than two teams, once teams are formed) have signed up when it starts, it is
cancelled.
/ettournament partner <player>; if they pick you back,The bracket seeds randomly over teams (byes fill the gaps) and matches run one at a time: both
sides teleport in as facing line-ups, a five-second countdown, then the fight, then a short buffer
before the next pairing is called.

While signups are open, anyone can back a fighter with real money (needs the server
bank):

Bet again on the same fighter to raise your stake, or bet on someone new to move it (your old
stake comes back). /ettournament pool shows the pot, every fighter’s backing and the favourite.
The pool locks when the bracket seeds — bets on anyone who didn’t make it into a team are
refunded then. When a champion is crowned, everyone who backed a member of the champion team
splits the losing stakes in proportion to their bet, plus their own stake back — minus a 10%
house cut (default) paid to the central bank. If nobody backed the champion, or the tournament is
cancelled or aborted for any reason, every bet is refunded in full. Bets are safe across server
restarts.
Tournaments pay only into the season. There is no crate, no title, no Legacy for winning one.
Every stage — scheduled, seeded, each match, the champion — is announced in chat, on the overlay,
by the Voice of the World and in the Codex Events feed.
