Titles are permanent achievements. You unlock them by playing — killing things, exploring,
dying, mastering skills — and each one carries a package of stat bonuses you can equip.
There are 209 built-in titles, and servers can add more. Titles must be enabled on your
server.
Open the Codex button on the Tensura main menu — it opens on the Titles tab. See
the Codex for the other tabs and the search box.
Most titles unlock automatically the moment you meet their requirements. You do not need to
claim them. Common requirement types:
| Requirement | Example |
|---|---|
| Kill count | Kill 100 zombies |
| Total EP | Reach 100,000 EP |
| Awakening state | Become Awakened, a Demon Lord, or a True Hero |
| Owning a skill | Hold a specific skill, or have it fully mastered |
| Skill collection | Own 2 Ultimate skills, or master 5 skills of any type |
| Deaths | Die 50 times |
| Exploration | Visit a biome, or enter a structure |
| Distance | Travel 50,000 blocks on foot, swimming, flying or climbing |
| Single hit | Land a single hit for 10,000 damage |
| Other titles | Already own a prerequisite title, or own 10 titles total |
| Territory | Have 16 chunks claimed |
A few titles are event only. They never unlock on their own — an admin grants them for
tournaments, holidays and community events.
From lowest to highest:
Common → Uncommon → Rare → Epic → Legendary → Mythic → Unique → Hardcore → Cursed
Every normal title’s bonuses are balanced to a shared power budget for its rarity, so a
Legendary from one family is worth roughly the same as a Legendary from another:
| Rarity | Power budget |
|---|---|
| Common | 6 |
| Uncommon | 20 |
| Rare | 34 |
| Epic | 48 |
| Legendary | 62 |
| Mythic | 76 |
| Unique | 90 |
Bonuses are spread across two or three stats rather than dumped into one, so titles feel
different from each other instead of being strictly better or worse.
Hardcore and Cursed sit outside that curve. They are opt-in trade-offs: a real drawback
paired with a payoff large enough to be worth taking. They are not simply stronger than Unique.
Hardcore titles behave differently from everything else:
Take one deliberately. It is a commitment.
Titles of Rare rarity and above are invisible until you earn them. They will not appear in
your Titles screen as locked entries, so the list you see is not the full list. Common and
Uncommon locked titles are visible as goals.
You can have several titles active at once. Your slot count is:
3 base slots, plus 1 slot for every 2 prestige resets, capped at 10.
So a fresh character runs 3 titles; after 14 resets you are at the 10-slot cap. These numbers
are server-configurable defaults.
Equipping a title applies its bonuses. Unequipping removes them — except for Hardcore titles,
which stay on permanently.
One equipped title is your showcase: other players see it as a small ✦ line floating above
your nameplate, coloured by its rarity (Legendary and up render bold).
By default the game auto-picks your highest-rarity equipped title — a tie goes to the one you
equipped most recently, and Cursed outranks everything. Prefer a different one? Select any
equipped title in the Codex Titles tab and press ★ Pin (★ Unpin returns to the auto
pick). Unequipping a pinned title drops the pin back to auto.
Don’t want a title over your head at all? The ◉ button in the tab’s top corner hides it
(◌ = hidden). Hiding drops any pin; showing again returns to the auto pick. You can also hide
other players’ titles just for yourself in the client config.
A server option (off by default) additionally shows the title after names in the player list, as
Name [Title]. Server admins can set or hide a player’s showcase via /etadmin title showcase.
Many titles form lineages — Wanderer grows into greater Wanderers, Orc Footsoldier climbs
through Orc Warrior and Orc General toward Orc Disaster, each of the four kill-based slayer
lines (daemons, serpents, beasts, insects) ends in an archbane, and the Lone
Wolf line rewards staying outside a nation: Lone Wolf → Wandering Sovereign
→ Unbound.
When you unlock a successor, its predecessors are consumed: they leave your unlocked list,
stop granting bonuses and free their slot. They still count as earned for every requirement,
record, synergy, leaderboard and season objective, so evolving never sets you back. Hardcore and
Cursed titles are never consumed even if they sit in a chain.
The Titles tab shows each chain and what a title evolves into (a hidden successor shows as ???),
and a ◆ Title Evolved line replaces the usual unlock announcement — you never see both.
Every title carries tags describing what it represents — combat, exploration, holy, forge,
and so on. Those tags are not decoration. Owning several titles that share tags unlocks
passive synergy bonuses on top of the titles themselves. Collecting
broadly within a theme is rewarded.
Servers and modpacks can add titles, or override built-in ones, with a datapack — no coding
required. See Custom titles.
Server admins can manage titles via /etadmin title.
