An armored undead knight-lich — the mod's toughest custom boss, designed to be harder to kill than Hinata. It can appear as a World Calamity invasion, or be summoned by admins.
(defaults, server-configurable)
- 5,000 HP, 60 armor, 80 attack damage
- Knockback-immune, no flight — it blink-teleports to you instead
- Immune to poison, wither, hunger, fall, and drowning damage
- Only targets players who are strong enough (10,000+ max EP) on its own — but it always retaliates if attacked
The fight escalates as its HP drops:
| Phase |
HP |
Behavior |
| Dormant |
— |
Inert until it detects a target, then rises over 3 seconds (invulnerable during the animation) with a world announcement |
| Knight (100–70%) |
Melee-forward: staff smashes plus the occasional void bolt. Summons its first minion wave after rising |
|
| Necromancer (70–40%) |
Recurring undead minion walls; void-bolt fans, soul drain, grave grasp |
|
| Deathlord (40–0%) |
Life siphon jumps from 30% to 50%, attacks come faster, blinks range wider, and the single void bolt is replaced by the soul nova |
|
| Attack |
What it does |
| Staff smash |
Melee hit with a 3-block cleave, inflicts Fragility; heals the boss |
| Void bolt |
Homing projectile at 1.5× attack; fired as a fan of 3 in Necromancer phase |
| Soul nova (Deathlord) |
Area blast at 2× attack that also damages your spiritual health directly |
| Soul drain |
Channeled beam — damages you per second and heals the boss double. Break line of sight to interrupt it |
| Grave grasp |
Roots you in place and inflicts Fragility (30s cooldown) |
| Minion wave |
Summons 4–6 direwolves / greater daemons at half stats |
| Blink |
Short-range teleport; range grows with each phase |
¶ Defensive Mechanics (and How to Beat Them)
- Bone Ward — damage budget. No matter how hard everyone hits, the boss can only lose 8% of its max HP per game tick (default, server-configurable). Burst spam has diminishing returns — sustained pressure wins.
- Soul Tether — minion wall. While any of its summoned minions are alive, the boss takes only 20% damage. Kill the minions first.
- Soul siphon. Damage it deals heals it for 30% (50% in Deathlord phase). Avoiding hits directly starves its sustain.
- Magicule anchor. If the Magicule World system is enabled, the boss regenerates by draining magicule from the chunk it's standing in. Fighting it in a magicule-drained area weakens its regeneration.
- Last Rites — death defiance. The first killing blow doesn't kill it: it revives at 30% HP, becomes briefly invulnerable, summons an emergency minion wave, and maxes its siphon. Only the second death is real. Don't celebrate early.
- Anti-cheese protection. Instakill (Severance), mind control, charm, possession, sacrifice, synthesis, skill/EP plunder, EP drain, forced movement/warp, and fear effects all fail against it. You have to fight it properly.
Deliberately left open:
- Holy and fire damage deal +25%.
- It counts as undead — Smite and healing-as-harm effects work.
- Spiritual (SHP) damage bypasses its HP defenses entirely — the Bone Ward and minion-wall reduction don't protect its spiritual health pool.
- Clear minion waves immediately — 80% damage reduction while they live.
- Break line of sight during soul drain.
- Bring holy/fire damage or SHP-damaging abilities.
- Pace your damage; the per-tick cap wastes overkill bursts.
- Save resources for the Last Rites revival — the fight isn't over at "0 HP".
- Lichbane title (legendary, +4 attack / +6 HP) for killing it — requires the Title system to be enabled on your server.
- Lich Slayer record (legendary).
- When it spawns as a Calamity, the standard damage-contribution crate key rewards apply.
- It drops no ground loot by design — the title, record, and crates are the prize.
