Founded nations can engage in formal diplomacy: alliances (shared defense and intelligence sharing) and wars (kill-tracked conflicts with EP tribute and title spoils). All diplomacy commands require your nation's leader role.
Requires the Nation system to be enabled on your server. Numbers below are defaults and server-configurable.
/etnation alliance propose <nation> — send a proposal to another nation's leader./etnation alliance accept <nation> — accept; the alliance forms and is announced by the Voice of the World. Both nations gain reputation (+15)./etnation alliance break <nation> — dissolve it. The breaker takes a heavy reputation hit (−50), and the two nations can't re-ally for 2 hours (default, server-configurable)./etnation alliance list — list your alliances, including each ally's current EP (intelligence sharing — refreshed periodically, not real-time).Your maximum alliance count is capped by your reputation tier (0 for rogue nations, up to 5 for Exalted). Both sides need a free slot when the alliance forms.
If an ally is challenged to war, your leader is notified and can join with /etnation war join defender (or attacker when supporting an aggressor ally). Once joined, your members' kills count toward that side's score — and you share the war's post-war cooldown.
War runs through a challenge → acceptance flow — no council approval needed:
/etnation war challenge <nation>. Announced globally. Fails if either nation is already at war or in post-war cooldown, or if your nation is rogue. Challenging a much weaker nation costs reputation ("bullying", −30)./etnation war accept — war begins./etnation war refuse — challenge cancelled, no penalty./etnation war tribute <amount> — pay EP (minimum 500 by default) to the challenger to buy off the war entirely.Nations can only fight one war at a time (default, server-configurable).

The Nation GUI (/etnation gui) has a Diplomacy tab with your active alliances, pending alliance proposals (accept button), an active-war panel (phase, kill score bar, countdown), pending-challenge buttons (accept / refuse / tribute), and your last 5 wars' outcomes.
Server admins can inspect, cancel, force-end, or peace-out wars and manage alliances via /etadmin.
